Spanish Primera Liga club Real Madrid reported their interest to sign French and Arsenal defender William Gallas. Real Madrid sporting director Predrag Mijatovic are planning a £15 million bid for Gallas in the next few weeks. William Gallas is a defender who prefers to play in the centre, but he can also play at full-back on either side of the pitch. Gallas transferred to Arsenal On 1 September 2006 and signed a 4 year contract with Arsenal as part of a deal that took Ashley Cole to Chelsea and Arsenal also received the sum of £5 million.

Glasgow Celtic and Japanese soccerstar Shunsuke Nakamura has been named as the Scottish Player of the Year by the Scottish Professional Footballers’ Association. This awards come after he bring another Scottish Premier League title for Glasgow Celtic. Nakamura teammates Lee Naylor and Artur Boruc comes in second and third place.
“I’m very pleased but this isn’t something you can get on your own, thanks to the whole team and also the supporters,” said Nakamura after receiving the award.
“Nakamura is a genius, but we also have statistics that say he covers more ground than anybody in our team, so he has got all that,†said Celtic coach Gordon Strachan.
Nakamura also won Goal of the Season for his cheeky lob against Dundee United, which earned Celtic a 2-2 draw. While Gordon Strachan was named Manager of the Year and Kilmarnock’s Steven Naismith awarded the Young Player of the Year.

The question about whos the best player in English Premiership League has clear now after Professional Footballers’ Association announced Manchester United soccerstar Cristiano Ronaldo as PFA Player Of The Year. Cristiano Ronaldo also awarded as the Young Player of the Year by the Professional Footballers’ Association. Cristiano Ronaldo rival Chelsea striker Didier Drogba came second and Ronaldo’s team-mate in Man Utd Paul Scholes was third in the voting for PFA Player Of The Year. While for PFA Young Player of the Year Arsenal Fabregas was second and Tottenham’s Aaron Lennon, came third.
“It is a special night. It is amazing and a big honour for me to win trophies like this in the English Premier League. I am very proud.” Cristiano Ronaldo said. “I want to keep working hard and getting better because these trophies have now given me more motivation.” Ronaldo added.

Korean soccerstar who plays for English Premiership club Manchester United signed a 12-year contract with Nike, The American sportswear giant. Nike Korea revealed that Park Ji-sung signed a contract effective from June 2007 to May 2019.
Nike says, “26-year-old Park Ji-sung will be 38 years old by the time the contract expires in 2019, which means he will be with Nike until he is no longer a soccer athlete. A long-term 12-year sports marketing contract in Korea is unprecedented, a result of the deep trust between the two parties.†Nike did not reveal the specific amount, but did say that the sponsor amount will be one that befits the greatest athlete in Korea.
