English Premiership Champion Manchester United reported to swoop Newcastle United striker Michael Owen with Man Utd striker Alan Smith. Manchester United ready to offer £4million plus Alan Smith. However Michael Owen has £9m get-out clause on his contract with Newcastle United. “I want to plan for Owen and Martins to start the season but if those clauses are invoked, there is nothing we can do about it,” said Newcastle manager Sam Allardyce.

Italian soccerstar Fabio Quagliarella admitted that he want to stay with Udinese next season. “Udinese has invested a lot in me and I can only say that I am honoured to wear this outfit. I want to stay here because this is a serious club, where I want to challenge myself and achieve important results”, said Quagliarella.
Quagliarella previously is co-owner between Sampdoria and Udinese, but On June 22, 2007 Udinese took the full ownership of the player from Sampdoria. Quagliarella previously linked with England Premiership Champion Manchester United.

Spanish Primera Liga club Atletico Madrid reported to sign Villarreal Striker Diego Forlan. Forlan also admitted that Atletico are on the talk with Villareal regarding him self. “I know that I have many suitors and I do not know if I am going to go to Atletico, but if I do go, I would not be a replacement for Fernando Torres. I would go there to play soccer. We are different players and people at different moments in our careers” Forlan said. Forlan previosuly linked to transfer with Juan Roman Riquelme to Atletico Madrid in exchange for Luis Perea and money in June 2007.
Diego Forlan join Villareal in 2004 and became the Spanish 2004-05 season “pichichi” (top scorer) with 25 goals, helping Villareal to their first ever UEFA Champions League spot.

Scottish Premier League club Glasgow Rangers reported to sign Liverpool and England soccerstar Robbie Fowler on free transfer. Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez confirmed on May 11th 2007 that Fowler would be leaving at the end of the 2006-07 season.
“Robbie doesn’t need three or four chances to score. If he gets one, he pops it away because he has a fantastic array of finishing. He can dink it, he’s good in the air and has a powerful left peg. He’s a clever finisher and it would be a big plus for Rangers if they signed him” said Rangers player Gary McAllister.
Fowler’s career began with Liverpool, with whom he made his debut in 1993. Fowler scored 120 premiership goals for Liverpool in an eight year period. He subsequently played for Leeds United and Manchester City F.C., before returning to Liverpool in January 2006.
