Alexi Lalas : “David Beckham is an Incredible Player”
Former US World Cup team member and now as a Los Angeles Galaxy general manager Alexi Lalas commented that David Beckham Is An “Incredible Player”. “This, first and foremost, is an incredible player whom we are getting, and we are very lucky to get him on the club” Lalas told to Goal.com.
“David Beckham have an incredible international presence from a marketing and branding standpoint, it can get lost and it shouldn’t,” added Lalas, “because he is a player who is going to help us from a soccer perspective to win games and who will help us vie for championships.”
“When you have a player of David Beckham’s status and stature, the minute he steps on the field people for whatever reason – and maybe it’s human nature – start wanting to impress and playing above and beyond. That’s a good thing, because he will raise the level of our players eventually; and that will raise the level of our team and the level of the teams we are playing against.”
The Galaxy are one of Major League Soccer’s most successful franchises, having claimed two MLS Cups in the past five seasons.
