Barcelona To Sign AS Roma Defender Cristian Chivu
Barcelona reported by Marca has made an official bid for AS Roma Defender Cristian Chivu. Barcelona sports chief Txiki Begiristain has confirmed that their club has made an official bid for Chivu but no amount reported for the transfer as Roma still consider the offer.
Chivu currently plays as a central defender for A.S. Roma in the Italian Serie A. Chivu has has played for the Romania more than 40 times, and he is currently captain of his country. Chivu’s skill from set-pieces has added another dimension to his already well-rounded game. He has scored a number of free-kicks for Roma with his deft left-foot shots as he continues to enhance his reputation as one of the finest defenders in Italy.
Barcelona rival Real Madrid previously also linked with Chivu.
