Italian media La Gazzetta dello Sport reported that one of Glasgow Celtic supporter who came to support Celtic in Milan dead at the northern Italian city’s Niguarda Hospital. The unidentified Celtic supporter was run over by a taxi the evening before his team’s Champions League second leg at Milan’s Guiseppe Meaza stadium.

Ukrainian and Chelsea soccerstar Andriy Shevchenko announced that no plans for him self to go back to play for AC Milan or other Italy club. Shevchenko told this statement to Radio Italia. “I chose to settle in England. I took this path and I do not intend to return to the Serie A.â€, clarified Shevchenko.

Italian Serie A club AC Milan plan to recruit Russian CSKA goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev as the replacement for currently Brazilian Milan Goalkeeper Dida. Dida is holding out for a better renewal deal rather than the pay cut offered so far.
Igor Akinfeev already has 154 matches at club level and 15 national caps for Russia as well as the crowning glory of winning the 2004/05 UEFA Cup in Portugal.
