English Premiership club Arsenal reported close to sign Legia Warsaw Goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski. Fabianski already visits Arsenal base in London for medical test. Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger wants to prepare Fabianski as a replacement of Jens Lehmann. However even Fabianski has a medical test in London there is still no transfer terms have been finalised yet.
Fabianski was a reserve goalkeeper for the Poland national football team in the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany. During the 2005/2006 season he won the Polish league championship with Legia.

English Arsenal women squad win The UEFA Women’s Cup this season after 1-0 victory aggregate against Swedish champions Umea. Arsenal Ladies became the first British club to win the trophies. “It’s the greatest moment in our history,” said the Arsenal women manager, Vic Akers. This trophies also completed their 20th anniversary.
Umea went into the tournament as favorites. The club is Europe’s only full-time professional team, but part-timers Arsenal managed to hold them at bay. The London club won a 1-0 victory last Saturday in the first leg of the final.
Umea came close to saving the match at times, with Ramona Bachman hitting the post and a shot by Marta bouncing a free kick off the bar. But Arsenal’s strong defence led them to a win on aggregate.

Spanish Primera Liga club Real Madrid reported their interest to sign French and Arsenal defender William Gallas. Real Madrid sporting director Predrag Mijatovic are planning a £15 million bid for Gallas in the next few weeks. William Gallas is a defender who prefers to play in the centre, but he can also play at full-back on either side of the pitch. Gallas transferred to Arsenal On 1 September 2006 and signed a 4 year contract with Arsenal as part of a deal that took Ashley Cole to Chelsea and Arsenal also received the sum of £5 million.

Two English Premiership club Arsenal and Liverpool reported their interest for French Ligue 1 Auxerre Defender Younes Kaboul . Kaboulm currentlyalso plays for the French under 21 national team, have already rejected a £6million offer from Portsmouth and Inter, in the January transfer window. Younes Kaboul has been known to be the ‘back bone’ for Auxerre, due to his excellent tackling skills, good judgement and strength. He has also been known to score a few key goals to clinch the game for Auxerre.
