After The FA dumped boss Steve McClaren - and his assistant Terry Venables, many candidates added to The FA. Ex Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho and ex Real Madrid manager Fabio Capello seems lead the way to take over McLaren position as the next England manager. However Terry Venables said that Fabio Capello ex-Real Madrid chief Capello is the best candidate for the job.
“Managing England has become harder than ever and you need someone used to these extraordinary pressures and I believe that Fabio Capello is the right person,” Venables said. “People like Capello have already experienced such pressure in their own country,” Venalbes added.
Fabio Capello said, “It would be a very interesting challenge for me and difficult challenges have always fascinated me”.
“I am sure all managers and coaches would welcome the chance of leading England particularly, most of all, to take on such a difficult challenge - given that England haven’t won a trophy for so many years,” Capello added.
Capello also said that he has offered to talk with the FA for the position.

Former germany soccerstar Lothar Matthäus linked with Czech Republic National Team coach job. Vice-president of the Czech soccer Federation, Vlastimil Kostal, admitted to daily newspaper ‘Pravo’ that there had been a brief discussion between Matthäus and the federation. “Yes we spoke together informally, no conclusions yet”, said Kostal. “I feel it is time to look at a foreigner because I do not see a suitable trainer in the Czech Republic”, added Kostal.
Lothar Matthäus, recently fired as a Giovanni Trappatoni assistant coach at FC Salzburg. Lothar Matthäus also have coaching experience with Rapid Vienna, Partizan Belgrade, Atlético Paranaense in Brazil, and Hungarian national team.

After his excelent comeback at England squad, David Beckham said to the press that he wants to play at the 2010 World Cup where he will be 35-year-old at that time. “I believe I can play for many, many years at the top level. A lot of things change but I feel I can go on”, Beckham said.
Beckham teammate in England squad and also Liverpool soccerstar Steven Gerrard backing Beckham for the Euro 2008 finals. “We want Becks at Euro 2008, If he keeps playing at the level he is now I don’t see why he can’t be at Euro 2008″, Gerradr said.
Los Angeles Galaxy General Manager Alexi Lalas also backing for Beckham. “It’s an honour for him and an honour for the Galaxy. And the fact we can say one of our players is named in the England squad, I think it’s a wonderful statement on the quality that exists at the Galaxy”, Lalas said.

Chinese midfielder Gao Leilei who currently plays for Finnish Premier Division Veikkausliiga club MyPa made his full debut last week when MyPa meets TPS Turku. Gao Leilei, previously play for Beijing Guoan and New Zealand Knights, signed for Finland’s MyPa last month. Gao Leilei also the first Chinese player to play in Finnish Premier Division. Gao made his debut for MyPa against FC Honka as a subsitute in the 46th minute on April 22, 2007.
