English Premiership Club Arsenal reported by The Daily Mail expected to move for Monaco striker Frederic Piquionne at the end of the season. Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger wants to land Piquionne in the summer, however restricted finances are limiting his options.

Lyon Sign Fabio Santos From Cruzeiro

French Ligue 1 champions Lyon completed to sign barzilian midfielder Fabio Santos from brazilian club Cruzeiro for 4 million Euros. Santos has put pen to paper for three-and-a-half years.

In 2004 Fabio Santos left Brazilian club Sao Caetano for Portugal’s CD Nacional but returned home after a half-dozen lacklustre appearances. At Lyon, Fabio Santos may find the adjustment smoother, joining up with four countrymen: Juninho, Fred, Cris, and Caçapa.

Santos already joins Lyon session traning with his new teammates for the first time at the club’s Remi Garde training ground.

USA Defender Oguchi Onyewu Set To Join Marseille

USA and The Standard Liege defender Oguchi Onyewu confirmed to join French Ligue 1 club Marseille. This is finally end of rumours that he will join English Premiership club Chelsea. Chelsea, Newcastle and Porto were the most recent suitors for the American center-back.

“A final agreement will be signed over the weekend with Marseille,” read a statement on the Standard Web site. The transfer deal will cost Marseille an estimated $4 million.

This is the return for Onyewu to go back to France. Onyewu having played three times for other French Ligue 1 club FC Metz and 24 games for La Louvière during a loan spell before moving to Belgium in 2004.

Sven Goran Eriksson, The New Marseille’s Boss

This would be an exciting news for Marseille Supporter. Sven Goran Eriksson, the former England National Team Manager, will be Marseille’s new boss — insists his right-hand man Tord Grip. Eriksson is expected to sign up once a £100million take over of the French club is completed.

But please be patient cause he will not start work until July — meaning the FA will still pay him £45,000 A WEEK!!! until his contract runs out in June. Grip, who was Eriksson’s assistant at England and will join him at Marseille, said: “It’s true. We are on our way and it should be completed by New Year.
