Glasgow Rangers To Sign Robbie Fowler

Scottish Premier League club Glasgow Rangers reported to sign Liverpool and England soccerstar Robbie Fowler on free transfer. Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez confirmed on May 11th 2007 that Fowler would be leaving at the end of the 2006-07 season.

“Robbie doesn’t need three or four chances to score. If he gets one, he pops it away because he has a fantastic array of finishing. He can dink it, he’s good in the air and has a powerful left peg. He’s a clever finisher and it would be a big plus for Rangers if they signed him” said Rangers player Gary McAllister.

Fowler’s career began with Liverpool, with whom he made his debut in 1993. Fowler scored 120 premiership goals for Liverpool in an eight year period. He subsequently played for Leeds United and Manchester City F.C., before returning to Liverpool in January 2006.

Shunsuke Nakamura Scottish Player Of The Year !!!

Glasgow Celtic and Japanese soccerstar Shunsuke Nakamura has been named as the Scottish Player of the Year by the Scottish Professional Footballers’ Association. This awards come after he bring another Scottish Premier League title for Glasgow Celtic. Nakamura teammates Lee Naylor and Artur Boruc comes in second and third place.

“I’m very pleased but this isn’t something you can get on your own, thanks to the whole team and also the supporters,” said Nakamura after receiving the award.

“Nakamura is a genius, but we also have statistics that say he covers more ground than anybody in our team, so he has got all that,” said Celtic coach Gordon Strachan.

Nakamura also won Goal of the Season for his cheeky lob against Dundee United, which earned Celtic a 2-2 draw. While Gordon Strachan was named Manager of the Year and Kilmarnock’s Steven Naismith awarded the Young Player of the Year.

Aston Villa To Sign Glasgow Celtic Goalkeeper Artur Boruc

English Premiership club Aston Villa reported their interest to sign Artur Boruc, goalkeeper of Scottish Premier League club Glasgow Celtic. Boruc reported has receive an invitation to visit Villa Park and watch the team play. If Boruc decided to move to Aston Villa then he will follow two others former Celtic player who move to Villa Stiliyan Petrov and Shaun Maloney and Martin O’Neill the former Celtic coach.

Boruc contract in Celtic would be end until 2009 and could cost over £4million for Villa to sign the players. Boruc previously also linked with Bayern Munich, as a replacement of current Bayern goalkeeper Oliver Kahn.

Shunsuke Nakamura Wants To Return To J-League

Japan and Glasgow Celtic midfielder Shunsuke Nakamura admitted that when his contract in Celtic end on 2008 he plan to return to his homeland Japan and play for J-League club even he also know that many european club interest to get him. “I want to go back to Japan as soon as possible” Nakamura said to Japan media Tokyo Chunichi Sports. “I plan to go back to Japan and plays for Japan national team when i’m still on top the top level of my career”.

Nakamura, the best J-League 2000 player, previously play for Yokohama Marinos before he transfer to Italian Serie A team Reginna. Nakamura move to Glasgow Celtic on 2005 and make a great impact on the club. Especially whenhelped Celtic through to the knockout stages European Champion League after his free-kick beats Manchester United.
