French Ligue 1 champion Lyon reported to sign Barcelona striker Eidur Gudjohnsen. Lyon ready to move Gudjohnsen with a £7 million cost. Lyon plans Gudjohnsen as a replacement for their Brazilian striker Fred.
Eidur Gudjohnsen 29-year-old is the captain of the Iceland national team and is often referred to as the greatest Icelandic player who is currently still in the game.
English Premiership club West Ham United also reported linked with Eidur Gudjohnsen.

Spanish Primera Liga club Atletico Madrid reported to sign Villarreal Striker Diego Forlan. Forlan also admitted that Atletico are on the talk with Villareal regarding him self. “I know that I have many suitors and I do not know if I am going to go to Atletico, but if I do go, I would not be a replacement for Fernando Torres. I would go there to play soccer. We are different players and people at different moments in our careers” Forlan said. Forlan previosuly linked to transfer with Juan Roman Riquelme to Atletico Madrid in exchange for Luis Perea and money in June 2007.
Diego Forlan join Villareal in 2004 and became the Spanish 2004-05 season “pichichi” (top scorer) with 25 goals, helping Villareal to their first ever UEFA Champions League spot.

Spanish Primera Liga giant Real Madrid finally win Spanish Primera Liga 2006/2007 title after beat Real Mallorca 3 - 1 in Santiago Bernabeau stadium. Reyes become Real Madrid hero after scores 2 goal (68′ and 83′) while Diarra scores one goal (80′).
Real Madrid rival Barcelona finished on second place, even they beat Gimnastic 5-1 on their final game of the season. Sevilla finished on the third after 0-1 beat in their home by Villarreal.

Argentinian soccerstar Javier Saviola reported set to join Spanish Primera Club Real Zaragoza for four-year-contract. Real Zaragoza said that this move will bring the best chance fro Saviola to enjoy more playing time and still vie for trophies in the future.
