English Premiership club Chelsea reported to sign Brazilian winger Daniel Alves, 25-year-old who currently plays for Spanish Primera Liga club Sevilla. Chelsea academy director Frank Arnesen already met Daniel Alves agent at the Hilton Hotel in Park Lane last Friday. The Sun reported that Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho plan to offering Paolo Ferreira or Khalid Boulahrouz in exchange otherwise Chelsea have to pay at least £12million to sign Alves.
Alves join Sevilla in December 2006, his contract with Sevilla will expire in 2012. Alves also alreadyearned his cap with Brazil national team. He made his debute in Brazilian squad as a substitute in a friendly against Ecuador on October 10, 2006, three days after he made his debut as a starter for Brazil in a friendly match against a Kuwait club, Al-Kuwait.
Liverpool and Real Madrid also previously linked with Daniel Alves.
English Premiership Club Arsenal reported to sign Alberto Zapater from Spanish Primera Liga club Real Zaragoza. Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is ready to bring out Zapater to The Emirates Stadium for £7 million cost.
Alberto Zapater is spanish soccer player. He has strong tackling and the amount of fouls he has committed earned him the nickname of ‘The Bull’, given to him by Argentine football legend Diego Maradona. Other premiership club Liverpool also linked with him last year.
Spanish Primera Liga club Sevilla to retain UEFA Cup after beat their spanish rival Espanyol on the 3-1 penalty shoot-out final victory at Hampden Park, Glasgow. The games ended 2-2 after 120 minutes. “We have a right to say that this is the greatest moment in the history of the club,” said Sevilla club president Jose Maria del Nido. “We are double European champions and are going for three trophies this season. This team only knows how to win. I’m convinced that the league title will be ours, we deserve it more than anyone else” Jose Maria del Nido added.
