Since David Beckham decided to move to LA Galaxy early this year, US Major League Soccer probably the most waiting soccer league by soccerfans around the world today. And the magic of US Soccer will begin today on new Dick’s Sporting Goods Park, the new home of the Colorado Rapids, making its debut in front of an ABC Sports audience. Colorado Rapid will face D.C. United, the winningest club in MLS history which last year won the Supporters’ Shield with the best record in the league.

David Beckham US Major League club LA Galaxy announced the signing of a five-year contract, between $3.5 million and $5 million a year through 2011, with Herbalife Ltd. on Friday. This contract giving the right for Herbalife to showcase its brand name across the front of the team jersey until 2011.

US Major League Soccer club Real Salt Lake reported to have their new stadium after Utah House of Representatives voted Thursday to approve $35 million toward the project. “All of us at Major League Soccer would like to sincerely thank Governor Huntsman and the Utah state legislature for their support of soccer in the Salt Lake City area,” said MLS commissioner Don Garber. “The new stadium will be a world-class venue that will host countless memorable soccer moments, provide a key meeting place for the community, and shed an international spotlight on the region.”

USA Major League Soccer schedule released yesterday. England soccer star David Beckham and his new club Los Angeles Galaxy will play their first game of the season to face the new MLS team Toronto FC on Aug. 5 in BMO Field.
“We are delighted that our fans will be able to be a part of such an exciting time in the league, as we look forward to hosting the L.A. Galaxy in August,” Toronto head coach Mo Johnston said. Toronto FC is in its first season in the MLS, bringing the number of teams to 13 as the league opens its 12th season. Each team will play 30 regular-season games.
After visit Toronto Los Angeles Galaxy will follow its game with games at D.C. United on Aug. 9, the New England Revolution on Aug. 12 and New York Red Bulls on Aug. 18.
