David Beckham Injury Might Affect His Debut In LA Galaxy
David Beckham suffered a potentially serious injury to his right knee Sunday while playing at home for Real Madrid in a Spanish league game against Getafe. Beckham was hurt when he collided with the advertising signs behind the goal after running to hit a cross into the goal area. The injury was described on the Real Madrid website as possible ligament damage to the right knee and could be out for up to two months.
Medical test will performed today and if he suffered a potentially serious injury many soccer fans worried it will affect his debut in LA Galaxy.
LA Galaxy officials were not available Sunday night to comment on Beckham’s injury or what it might mean to his summer move to MLS. Beckham’s contract with Real Madrid ends on June 30 and he is expected to join the Galaxy sometime in July.
