David Beckham to Join Sven Gorran Eriksson at Marseille ?
After set as the new manager for French Ligue 1 club Marseille, Sven Goran Eriksson reported to have made a sensational bid to convince former England skipper David Beckham to join the club. Sven Goran Eriksson wants to Beckham to play for him and revive his international football career.
He is reported to have told Beckham that he would get a guaranteed starting place in the French club.
Becks is set by Real Madrid to make a dramatic announcement about his future before the end of the month.
He will stay at Real until the end of this season, but must decide whether to sign a new deal or go on a lucrative free transfer. His return to England at present seems unlikely.
Real Madrid is resigned to waiting for Becks to announce his decision as they’re powerless to force his hand. A meeting between Beckham’s advisors and Madrid’s board is scheduled to take place in the next 10 days and it could be Real’s last chance to convince the superstar to stay.
