David Beckham Wants To Play At 2010 World Cup



After his excelent comeback at England squad, David Beckham said to the press that he wants to play at the 2010 World Cup where he will be 35-year-old at that time. “I believe I can play for many, many years at the top level. A lot of things change but I feel I can go on”, Beckham said.

Beckham teammate in England squad and also Liverpool soccerstar Steven Gerrard backing Beckham for the Euro 2008 finals. “We want Becks at Euro 2008, If he keeps playing at the level he is now I don’t see why he can’t be at Euro 2008″, Gerradr said.

Los Angeles Galaxy General Manager Alexi Lalas also backing for Beckham. “It’s an honour for him and an honour for the Galaxy. And the fact we can say one of our players is named in the England squad, I think it’s a wonderful statement on the quality that exists at the Galaxy”, Lalas said.

    Beckham could play at the top level until he is 50. I mean all he does is take free kicks, take corners, pass amazingly, cross amazingly and lift team spirit. You don t have to be young and quick to do that.
