Fulham Goalkeeper Antti Niemi Got A Potentially Serious Injury

Fulham goalkeeper Anti Niemi got a potentially serious injury on the English Premierships 0-0 result game between Fulham versus Watford after falling on his head after racing out of his area to clear a ball. Niemi was taken to hospital for X-rays for this incident.
The accident happened nine minutes into the second half at Craven Cottage when Niemi leapt to clear from Watford’s Darius Henderson, and the game was held up for a further nine minutes as Niemi received treatment before being stretchered off the pitch.
Fulham Manager Chris Coleman said: “He’s got some damage to his neck but he can feel his arms and legs, so that’s all right. He’s gone to hospital for an X-ray and we won’t know more until the results of that come out.”
Watford manager Aidy Boothroyd said: “It was an appalling first half, probably the worst since I’ve been manager. Right now Niemi is still on the hospital. We will reported to you for Niemi latest condition.
