Manchester United To Sign Barcelona Striker Eidur Gudjohnsen

English Premiership Champion Manchester United reported to sign Barcelona striker Eidur Gudjohnsen for £8 million. Gudjohnsen joined FC Barcelona on 14 June 2006 for a three year contract, with the option of an additional year, from english premiership club Chelsea with €12 million and an additional €3 million depending on appearances and performances.
Eidur Gudjohnsen is the captain of the Iceland national team and is often referred to as the greatest Icelandic player who is currently still in the game. For Barcelona he wears the number 7 jersey and for Iceland number 9. So far in his professional football career, Eidur Gudjohnsen has scored 128 goals in all competitions. He has scored 12 goals in all competitions for Barcelona in this season, 5 in the La Liga.
Eidur Gudjohnsen also linked with others Premiership club Tottenham Hotspurs and West Ham United.
