English Premiership champion Manchester United plans to sign Aaron Lennon from their rival on Premiership Tottenham Hotspurs. Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson sees Aaron Lennon as a natural long-term successor for Man Utd winger Ryan Giggs.

Aaron Lennon made a £1m move to Spurs in early June 2005 from Leeds United. Aaron Lennon is a member of England’s 2006 World Cup squad, Lennon came on as a substitute for England in their second group stage game of World Cup 2006 (his first World Cup finals appearance) against Trinidad & Tobago.

Aaron Lennon was nominated again for the Young Player of the Year award again in 2006/07 and finished 3rd behind Cristiano Ronaldo of Manchester United and Francesc Fàbregas of Arsenal F.C.
