Owen Hargreaves Set To Join Manchester United !!!

England soccerstar Owen Hargreaves finally set to join English Premiership club Manchester United. This news come after current Hargreaves club President Bayern Munich Franz Beckenbauer announced that Owen Hargreaves would leave the club. “Owen is leaving,” Beckenbauer said to Germany’s DSF sports television network. “That was the player’s wish. It’s a good match and it’s also a good deal financially.”
Manchester United have been chasing Hargreaves, the 26-year-old, since last summer but Bayern refused to sell him. However, after a hugely disappointing season the Bavarians start to build a new team and they welcome the kind of money they will receive from this deal. Bayern will earn “a little bit over” $33.7 million from the deal.
As a Hargreaves replacement Bayern would try to bring Werder Bremen striker Miroslav Klose during the summer.
Owen Hargreaves move to Bayern at the age of sixteen from Calgary Foothills to Ramsey A.F.C on 1 July 1997. Hargreaves played in the Under-19 team for two and a half years before spending six months with the Amateur team. On August 12, 2000, Hargreaves played in his first Bundesliga match, making an appearance as a substitute for Carsten Jancker in the 83rd minute.
Hargreaves was the only player playing outside the Premier League to be selected for England’s 2002 FIFA World Cup squad. Although he had not usually been part of the first choice team, he was selected for the England squads at Euro 2004 in Portugal and the 2006 World Cup in Germany despite criticism from sections of the press and public.
