Steven Gerrard Awarded Member Of British Empire (MBE) By The Queen

Liverpool and England captain Steven Gerrard awarded MBE (Member Of British Empire) by The Queen Elizabeth at Buckingham Palace. Gerrard honoured for leading Liverpool’s fightback in the sensational 2005 Champions League final, when they came back from 3-0 down against AC Milan to eventually win on penalties.
“I’ve played in big games but I’ve never experienced anything like this” Gerrard said.
Gerrard come to Buckingham Palace accompanied by his 24-year old WAG Alex Curran. Gerrard wearing a sober navy suit for the Buckingham Palace ceremony, while Alex turned up in a £2,245 suit and flamboyant ruffled blouse.
