USA Midfielder Claudio Reyna To Join MLS New York Red Bulls

USA national team midfielder, Claudio Reyna has been released by his club Manchester City for free. Reyna expected to return to his homeland and join USA MLS club New York Red Bulls, who are coached by Bruce Arena — his former coach at the University of Virginia and the U.S. national team.
The 33-year-old midfielder had played in Europe for 12 years, with stints at Bayer Leverkusen and Wolfsburg in Germany, Glasgow Rangers in Scotland and Sunderland. He joined Manchester City in August 2003 from Sunderland, and scored four goals in 77 games.
Reyna retired from international soccer after last year’s World Cup. He scored eight goals in 112 appearances and was on the U.S. roster for the 1994, 1998, 2002 and 2006 World Cups, as well as the 1992 and 1996 Olympics.
